1. Your account is not in the adult age group
Since 23 September 2026 Discord only lets accounts in the adult age group into age-restricted servers and channels. Most adults were placed there automatically, but some accounts land in Teen or Unconfirmed.
- Open User Settings, Account Status.
- If it does not say Adult, press Confirm Age.
- Pick a method: app store age range, credit card, Google Wallet, video selfie, ID scan or AgeKey (options depend on your country).

2. You are on iPhone or iPad
Because of Apple's App Store rules, the Discord iOS app is stricter than every other version:
- On a computer (or discord.com in a browser), open User Settings, Messaging Permissions.
- Turn on Allow access to age-restricted content on iOS.
- Force-close the Discord app on your iPhone and open it again.
Servers built around explicit content stay blocked in the iOS app, even with the toggle on. Discord only lets adults join and use those servers on desktop, Android and the web version. LUST is one of them, so on iPhone use Discord on a computer, an Android device, or in your browser.
3. The server wants you to verify first
Well-run adult servers hide their NSFW channels until a member proves they are an adult, on top of Discord's own check. On LUST that means three live selfies reviewed by staff, after which the NSFW channels appear on their own. Look for a channel like #verify, #unlock-nsfw or #cant-see-channels in the server's info category.

4. You hid the channels yourself
Community servers ask new members which channels they want during onboarding, and skipped categories stay hidden. Open the server name menu and choose Browse Channels (or Channels & Roles) and switch the missing channels back on. Also check that the category is not collapsed or muted.
5. Images are blurred
Discord's sensitive content filter can blur images it detects as explicit. Adults control it in User Settings, Content & Social:
- For the Mature Sexual Media filter, set Messages in server channels to Show (in servers the choice is Show or Blur).
- Or tap the eye icon on a single image to reveal it.
Teen accounts cannot change these settings, which brings you back to fix 1.
6. Old app or stale cache
Discord's age features need app version 343.0 or later on mobile. Update the app, then fully close and reopen it. On desktop, press Ctrl + R (Cmd + R on Mac) to reload.

Why can I not see NSFW channels on Discord?
